Good thing you didn't say show your Chi Chi's. That would have been on a whole different web site.

Beautiful toned Morgans, Hadley! I'm surprised you could bear to part with them....Thanks, Jaobler. Parting with them was not easy (especially the '91), but my wife smashed her car and it needed to be fixed. It was actually a good oppurtunity to refocus my collecting goals with a shift away from Morgans and more of an emphasis on type pieces. I still miss them, though........

Alas, I have but one and it is a poor example, so I shall not shame myself by posting it. I know this isn't a contest, but I like Prethen's 20 center the best. I've always felt that what circulated coins lack in beauty they make up for in character. And when it's an oddity like a 20 cent piece and struck at Carson City... Wow. Too cool.

STEELIE, very nice MORGAN, cHECK OUT THIS AND SEE IF THIS MATCHES UP WITH YOUR COIN? BE WELL... 1879-CC VAM-3 Capped Die - Large Over Small CC This coin is a Top 100 Morgan VAM3 III2 3 #8729; C3c (Large Over Small CC) () I-3 R-3 Obverse III2 3 - 18 in date strongly doubled at top. Open 9 doubled slightly at bottom. Reverse C3c - Metal above and within the CC mint mark, a large over small mint mark. G in GOD filled on some specimens. The VAM-3 Capped Die variety shows die chips around the mintmark believed to be a large mintmark stamped over a small one. The remaining mintmark chips are thought to be caused from attempts to obliterate the smaller underlying mintmark from the die with engraving tools
