1984-P 50c Unknown Object Or Damage? Any Ideas?

I don't even know where to look for research since I have no idea what this is called. Any info or if you know what it is would be greatly appreciated, thanks! My initial thought is that this is surface staining or dried adhesive rather than a mint error. It is a 1600x usb microscope. There's a raised circular O in the word GOD and it looks like a small letter P underneath. Report this Post to the Staff

I think that having an overall pic showing the entire coin also would be helpful. From what I can see, that does look quite a bit like a letter P. However, a dropped letter would be incuse (and sized the same as the original letter). Please confirm that it actually raised above the surface of of the coin. Thx.
