I found this in a $45 grab bag. Possible doubling on the 9 and 4 and the D. Is this still considered a double die error? Edited by Jdcag5775 09/04/2020 12:53 am

Welome to the forum. Can you post an image of the reverse and obverse?

Die Deterioration to me. Image of the reverse seems to suggest a cleaning at some point in the past. Love steel cents.
