@firemandmc, At current values, there is only about a $20-25 difference between G-06 and VG-10, and about half that between G-06 and G-08.
Your coin is a solid original problem-free G-06. It has good eye appeal for the grade. IMHO, you wouldn't gain anything by slabbing it. Your coin would trade raw on a bourse floor without any problems. You don't need to worry about your coin. It's solid, just as it is.
A lot of people on here have a rule of thumb that any coin under $150-$200 isn't worth slabbing. I tend to push that number higher, to the $400-$450 range. I would offer two exceptions to that rule: coins with scarce varieties that are worth attributing and coins that are frequently counterfeited, where assurance of authenticity makes a huge difference in ability to sell. Only slab a coin if you will gain net value by doing so (increased value or ability to sell > cost of slabbing). Don't slab any coin that is likely to come in with a much lower grade than you anticipate or with a designation that would hurt value (for example, "Details - Cleaned"). Just some thoughts. Others may have different or additional thoughts.
