It doesn't look like it to me but what does the edge look like? Does it have the copper stripe in the center?

If you follow the link there are 3 photos, obv, rev and edge. The edge shows a copper stripe.

I missed that.... Any chance you could get an accurate weight on it?

8.1 is a normal weight for the SAC. SBA is the same.

Ah.... this is one of the early Sacs that has actually seen usage. It's pretty worn, and the first generation (or one of the first) had the problem of the outer ones turning color.
Sorry, but I don't think it's that rare, since I have like 7 of these in my change bucket.

I think it's just a well circulated coin. When they first came out a friend of mine started keeping one in his pocket everyday just to see what would happen. I seen it a couple of years after he started and it looked very similar to yours.

I agree with Bill. Not an SBA blank.

It's more worn than any I've seen before which leads me to believe someone had it in their pocket for a long time. Possibly a test to see what would happen to them when worn - God knows circulation would never wear one this much...they don't circulate.

Keep in mind that all of the baby dollars are clad and you will see the copper core.
Golden: Cladding 77% copper 12% zinc 7% manganese 4% nickel, core 100% copper Suzie: Cladding 75% copper 25% nickel, core 100% copper
