Ok I have a question and I can't post a picture because I have a new stup popid phone and I know you all would need a picture to analyze I'm just looking for some advice. I came across a 1969 Lincoln Cent that I originally thought was a Philadelphia in really good shape. I notice today that it had what looked like not really a scuff but a miscolored spot under the date which sparked my curiosity. I hit it with a UV light to make any inconsistencies stand out and a big bright S illuminates the surface. I know the mint marks were punched separately from the strike but what does that mean for the coin as far as rarity? Has anyone ever heard of something like this? Am I rich now?

Normal cent. I don't see the "S" but even if there was a ghost of one it would most likely just be a filled die. Not rich, but you have one cent!

Just a regular coin. Worth 1 cent.

Wouldn't a 1969-S no S just be a 1969-P? Not really getting what your question is, but I have a lot of 1969-S DDO no S no DDOs that I'd be happy to give you for the low, low price of $10k a pop

In order for it to be no S there would actually in fact have to be no S. Makes since, thanks guys as usual, happy hunting. I feel like I'm on to something I don't know what type variety it is but its not getting past me.

Quote: . I know the mint marks were punched separately from the strike No the mintmark is punched into the DIE separate from the hubbing. They both go on the coin at the same time.
