I agree Tanman2001, I think people see the word "mule" and associate it only with dual denomination errors and so dismiss it as crazy talk. As you pointed out (years ago) the OP's coin is very interesting MAD die clash MDC-1c-1995-02.

For me do not past. Do not fit the denomination and also I saw a few of those and theoretically is not possible to have so many as this. This it is my opinion.

To me these look like a "dropped die issue" onto this die. Miss handling of the dies.
