Appears to be a Rim Cud on the Obverse under the letters of Dollar? I found this coin in change return. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Looks like the reverse was damaged with a coin wrapper. But it is a Rim Cud.

Nice find @pe. Do you think that this is an earlier stage of the cuds-on-coins CU-25c-2018P-02(CI) Rim Cud?

Thanks Coop and Spence for verifying the Rim Cud , I did see the listing you mentioned Spence from Cuds on Coins. It does look like it's in the same area and early stage version.

hard to say if it's the same rim Cud, or a different one, in some cases you can use a similar detail and know how the Cud is growing, but in other cases like this, theres is no real clear identifier to connect it.

not saying it isn't' an earlier version of the rim die break CU-25c-2018P-02(CI), just saying they can't be positively identified to be the same break. it could just as easily be an earlier version of CU-25c-2018P-01(CI)

or a different one entirely and be CU-25c-2018P-03(CI).
