coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 10/04/2020 3:40 pm 99% of the time incuse marks are coin damage. 1% of the time, they are mint errors. (Mostly struck through issues on coins) So a disturbed surface doesn't mean a coin error. The reeds on coins (On the edges of dimes, quarters, halves and large dollars) damage the coins when they are dropped on each other. Also coin get tossed in parking lots and run over and sand and rocks damage the surface of coins. Others are tortured in a garage. People are not nice to coins. A damaged coin is just a face value coin. Report this Post to the Staff
