Recent acquisition from a local coin shop. Some of what I think is Verdi on the reverse, but otherwise it's a nice coin. Only spent $8.00 on it, so not a bad deal at all.

Very cool.

To note the secondary strike appears to not be present on the reverse indicating that the anvil die did not contact the coin on the second strike as there was another planchet in the chamber. Neat.

So grape, the other planchet would have an indent strike?

Interesting, I didn't notice that. Only makes it cooler.

The other planchet would likely be a broadstrike with partial indent. As both coins would have had to be in the chamber at the same time for a double strike like this to occur, it is sensible to assume the collar did not close and therefor the second planchet was either broadstruck or struck off center.

Seems like one side should show part of a design. The 'O' on One looks like the coin was already struck once. Maybe it just hadn't escaped in time for the next strike?
