I came across this interesting quarter and am wondering what could cause this effect on the reverse. I automatically figured PMD acid damage, but the obverse is not affected and the lettering in John Brown's Fort and the designer's initials TRH are also quite clear. The damage or lamination seems to be beneath the lettering which make me think that this could possibly be mint damage. Please weigh in and thanks or the help. Mike

I find these interesting. I'd put it in a 2x2 and tuck it away!

I'd love to put together a set of 5 or 6 Harper's Ferry Quarters from a fresh die to an extreme die deformation as seen on the Error-Ref.com page. I have one that's close to the extreme end, but it's buried in my collection. I HAVE to organize!
