2018-P Quarter Die Crack? - Coin Community Forum

Yokozuna Pillar of the Community United States 4618 Posts	Posted 10/04/2020 1:01 pm it's a scratch or cut. The metal is pushed outwards from the center and towards the very end of the damage. Deformation of the metal makes it look as if the damage started at the rim and moved downwards across the face of the coin. It seems to pickup again at the top of the 2nd A of AMERICA a slightly different angle and runs across the rim a second time.
