Hey all,

Found this quarter in a bank roll. Looks like a die crack to me. It is raised and you can feel it if you run your finger over it. What do you guys think?

Yes sorry but this coin was scratched—not a mint error.

it's a scratch or cut. The metal is pushed outwards from the center and towards the very end of the damage. Deformation of the metal makes it look as if the damage started at the rim and moved downwards across the face of the coin. It seems to pickup again at the top of the 2nd A of AMERICA a slightly different angle and runs across the rim a second time.

Scratch. Displaced metal rises above the surface of the coin, such that it can be felt as a 'ridge'.
