1946 Lincoln Wheat Cent Doubled Die(S) - DDO-005, DDR-006

Picked this one a little while ago. Super nice separation on the 9 of the date as well as the usual class 6 doubling. This one is LDS, but in EDS I'd put this one up against many of the cherrypicker varieties for the doubling on the date.

The reverse is DDR-006, which is a class II doubled die. These are buggers to see on anything but high grade coins so figured I'd show it here as an example of what these look like.

Good one!

This is an excellent coin in all regards, but I think the disqualifier for CPG is twofold. Primarily, and probably the most important to them, it can't really be ID'd in circulated condition. Secondly, the fact that it's not as strong in LDS, which, while it may sound silly has disqualified others before so....

I'd call that a VLDS example. When the die flow starts to happen, it is moving into LDS. EDS coins are the ones I enjoy. They and the MDS examples really smile for the camera. Note how clear the devices and fields are on this EDS coin:
