Aside from the unique way of drawing attention to the listing, I'm not sure I understand the PCGS label. Is this a proof or unc details coin?

Good question! Once I looked at the coin I didn't read the label. LOL. As much as I like Barber coins I haven't really researched them. IS that a proof? Why the heck would anyone mess with a Barber proof? (A side note: I wonder if the baby in the pic is related to the seller—hope they know better than to just grab a picture online. Pretty sure that when you use a photo in connection with commercial enterprise without permission you can get zinged for copyright violations. Does ebay police that stuff?)

The "seller" does make a good point... Coins which "are far too rare to promote" are NOT promoted. They are destined for COLLECTORS who understand coins and their true value. But yes, one look at the coin and the verdict is ... MEH! As a Barber dime fanatic (Complete Collection) I do not feel the urge to add a proof to the set.

BTW... Proof Barber dime which have LOWER mintages than the 1910 include... 1908,1911,1914 and 1915 ... the 1914 is only 425.

If I were inclined to add a Barber (proof or not) to my collection, I'd pony up the bucks to get a nice one. If I had the bucks. I can dream...

The listing is misleading, it's not PR60. It's a proof, but not assigned a numeric grade due to the "details". They assign it "UNC" indicating they think it's uncirculated. I have a Canadian specimen coin with a similar grade - SP on the top line and Cleaned - UNC Detail on the second line. It is confusing. It would be listed under PR60 in their population report though. PCGS and NGC both dump their details coins into the lowest numbered grade in the population reports. So "AU Details" is counted under AU50, etc. The baby picture doesn't get me more interested.
