How Do I Start Selling My 5 1943 Steel Pennies?

Snopek14 New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 10/26/2020 12:54 pm I wanted to share with you all my steel pennies but took me all morning..into afternoon to get them to upload because of there sizing, something wasn't working and I cant spend anymore time on it.. I have 5 1943 steel pennies that were in my dads pennies collection books...I want to sell them. I did recerch and they r very rare..I have 4 books full of pennies from 1909 to 2007 ...please will someone tell me what to do. Should I or can I even get them restored then graded? Or do buyers of the coin do this? How do I even find a buyer for these coins. Thanks Report this Post to the Staff

westernsky Pillar of the Community United States 7621 Posts	Posted 10/26/2020 1:03 pm .... to the Community! 1943 STEEL cents are not rare. 1943 COPPER cents are rare. Use a magnet to determine which ones you have. Steel will be attracted to a magnet; copper will not be attracted to a magnet. Circulated 1943 steel cents are currently being purchased by the wholesalers in the range of 10 to 15 cents each. Rusty ones will bring less. If you have 4 books of coins starting in 1909, the following are the rare ones: 1909-S VDB 1909-S 1914-D 1931-S If you have any of these, look them up on ebay to get an idea of what they could be sold for. If they are very shinny they may be replated (which would hurt their value). The only way they have much of a value is if they are uncirculated really good strikes, otherwise. as other here have said, they really don't have much of a value at all.
