Can anyone help me understand what is causing these details? This is only 2 in my collection. Yes I have more. Are they anything worth keeping?

I'm guessing you're referring to the area below the bust?

Looks to be either Split Plating or Die Deterioration. The 1996 shows some DDD on the date and MM.

No premium on either, just spenders.

As mentioned, just a die wear issue just starting. The die still was a lot more coins to strike before retirement.

It is also in front of the entire face of both coins. Not sure if you can see it in the picture. I can but I know what to look at.

If you are referring to the bright luster just around the bust of Lincoln, that could an effect of how the coin has been handled in circulation. The fields are recessed from the device in this area and may have just had less circulation contact, so they stayed brighter with more of the original luster in that area.
