Hello everyone.Im Jon Ive been collecting about 4 years now.Live in ohio and soon to be back in Tennessee.I collect all kinds of items but one in particular has stumped me.Any help is appreciated.

No sir, not an error and not the wrong planchet. That is a completely damage and destroyed quarter. But it's still worth 25 cents.

A soda or candy machine might not take it.

When you go the junk yard and see wrecked cars, Are these factor errors. Same with this coin, it has damage on it that was not done at the mint. When it gets back to the bank, they will put it into a container to be sent to the mint and canceled and recycled.

May I ask a 2 part question?
Why is my quarter .15 grams heavier than the others and other words are visible in wrong places?

Perhaps the quarter is just on the edge of its Weight Tolerance. Anyone?

Given the photos posted, I'm not seeing any words in wrong places. Any chance we can see a photo of the reverse?
