The submitter even ponied up for TrueView so we can see just how bad these coins were.

And I thought I wasted money on TPGs.

Maybe grandpa's collection? Someone may have had a reason to get them done even knowing they'd loose $

Wow, that was a really bad batch to get graded. They would have come out ahead just giving them away. I didn't know you could look up other people's submissions.

If they went economy..... $28.43 per coin $739.25 total ( if my maths right ).

Not worth it, but as Grape mentioned, maybe they had other reasons for doing so.

I've seen worse. At coin shows I've seen many slabbed new coins. I mean coins you could find in everyday circulation and now in a slab.

Those were probably remnants of a bulk submission where a dealer was trying to hit a couple MS-69s. At least there would have been a rationale for doing it, not just throwing money away on a regular submission.

I'm guilty of submitting some stuff like this as part of a larger ANACS special because the coins had sentimental and family history value, and I wanted my kids to be able to handle the coins without me stressing as much. It was worth it to me.
