I have been reading up on mint marks and how they were punched into the working die by hand with a puncheon. This looked like one that maybe had been punched twice with a slight rotation? I didn't see any Machine Doubling on other devices on the reverse, but I will check again. Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 11/15/2020 11:53 am The first clue was the reduction of the mintmark size. The second clue was the removed contour of the devices. If it were a RPM, there would be a spread on the mintmark. (Enlarging the mintmark) http://www.varietyvista.com/05%20JN...%201964D.htm Take a look at this link and note, how all the devices are showing spread and are larger than a normal mintmark for that year.
