No. Looks like damage of some sort. If it's raised, it could be glue or something else. It's not an OMM though.

This is a photo of 1944D-1OM-001. The 'S' underlaps the D, and the upper loop sticks up out of the D, but is completely attached to the D. Now look at both of these and tell me it's the same die.

Not a D/S.
Actually it looks closer to the RPM #7,but too strong a blob on your coin and not exactly the same pattern of lines.

Like I usually do, I agree with Chuck. I've been looking for this one long enough to have it burned into my brain! Looks to be some sort of small die gouge.

110%, it's not. It's back to a point I try to make on occasion.

Look at the damage just to the right of the "blob". Whatever did that damage probably moved the metal.

It's damage.
