I really don't know. Maybe because they're that one year from the decade that started the Memorial cent back and so they are the odd ones out. I have never thought about it too much though. I have no real reason for why I keep them. Same reason I also keep all the 1982 small dates I find, I suppose.

I keep all 59's I get. Partly because they're the first year of issue for MEMORIAL and after all they are from the fifties.

Not from roll, but I got a 1919 wheat from a take-a-penny leave-a-penny at my school today. Coincidentally that is the year my school was founded :)

I cant believe it..
