Hello everyone, GeminiSigh here! One of the newest members and glad to be!
I could use a little help if one of you fellow memebers are able and have a few moments to spare, please..
I have two 1943 Great Britain King George VI 3 Pence coins that I would love to have graded, as well as have a better idea on how to price them and/or find their proper bracket of worth. I've attached photos for anyone capable and available to help with this task, and I'd greatly appreciate any advice/information one may have for me. I'm still in the beginner, rather the learning stages of collecting since I only have 2 years under my belt thus far. However, I'm curious to whether one of these coins is in fact an error coin, if not both even. (Strike through-Back on Stem) (Die Issue)
Pleeease help!

Top one is good Fine and bottom one is a full grade lower - probably good VG. Sadly neither are really worth more than a few pence (5p each)

1943 saw over 100 million brass 3d coins minted and its only catalogued at £1 in EF condition (Coin Yearbook 2018) and £8 uncirculated, making these coins have no numismatic value.
good to start a collection with, but those post covid lockdown trips to Aruba are out of the question sorry.

Hello GeminiSigh and

I agree with Princetane's above comments - these were low denomination coins that were in general circulation in the UK until 1971. My local coin dealer has dozens of them in a junk box for 10 pence (13 US cents) each.

I can't quite work out what the 'thing' is on the thrift stalks on the top coin. Is it definitely part of the coin and not something that's just got stuck onto it? I suppose it could be a Retained Cud. If so, it's of interest but not of great value - collectors of British coins aren't really into errors and varieties in the same way that US collectors are.

It's not a button conversion, is it?
