axenriq New Member United States 23 Posts	Posted 11/26/2020 8:40 pm Hey guys, I know I dropped the ball, being wide open & uncovered in the endzone, with 4th down & goal to go in the final Quarter (Pun intended) by not posting my gratitude for any input given on my last post. No excuses. I dont accept them from my kids nor should any one accept one from me. So thats on me. But I really do appreciate any input from those who have more experience in any matter. The only thing that separates knowledge from wisdom is experience. Nevertheless, I found this quarter, 2012-D Hawaii Volcanoes, in the $10 I rec'd from the change machine at the carwash, of all places. It looks like its been struck thru grease, Obverse..maybe? Has anybody seen such toning on a relatively new qtr like this? Does it increase value or it just another, yet pretty looking, 25 cents? Any input bout it would be happily received. Thanks. In some cases, they can be hard to distinguish from beautiful naturally toned coins. I have to confess: I have fooled around with newly issued into circulation coins to produce some nice color effects. Less beautiful perhaps, but I prefer blast white silver coins, just as if they had freshly come out of the coining press. You know for sure that nobody has interfered with them. By inference, the pictures on the PCGS Photograde seem to agree with this. Report this Post to the Staff
