I recently found a hundred or so coins that go back as far as the year 1965. I found a 1965 quarter and I would like to know if it is one of the rare ones. How do I research to see if it is rare? It has copper color around the edge so probably not full silver. It has no mint mark and the word LIBERTY on the front is extremely close to the top edge but not cut off.

@jjrr, first welcome to CCF. Second, a great start to having us help you would be to post a couple pictures of your coin. Without those, it is going to be difficult for us to know what you have. Here is a link to the tutorial on uploading pics:

ok good. Your pics have posted, but both are quite small, with lots of border around the coin. Cropping them will help us focus on what you have. When I blow up your first pic to look at LIBERTY, it is still hard to see if this coin was struck from a mis-aligned die.

None of the coins after 1964 are silver, including this one, the modern coins such as this are copper-nickel clad copper, meaning that the middle is copper and the outside is copper-nickel
