Always on the look out for a bargain but had to pass on this one

And - has anyone had evidence of people doing a paint job on the 2012 Red Poppy coins. There are a few ads selling at good prices but all seem to be erratic in the red centre.

First obviously no good, however 2nd one are you saying they are painted on? I believe that yes some of the red poppy would have had their paint flake off quite easily, resulting in something like this.

The coloured section on the poppy coins does look to have flaked paint, but the centre doesn't look raised like the non coloured version.
Would like to see a clearer picture.

Gumtree seems to be the Australian version of etsy-absurd asking prices for damaged coins.

Just absurd prices for all coins. I've only purchased a few coins off Scumtree as most coins are listed at stupid prices or higher than Fle a bay which charges 11% sale fee.

Example of absurd price for a non-damaged coin:

"Fetching $900 on ebay"

Scumtree reminds me of Obi-Wan's description of the Mos Eisley Spaceport - "You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious"
