Thanks all!
I hope to continue adding gold but at the current prices, this will take a while. I was looking at the $1 gold but prices are crazy. I may save up for the $5 Indian next.

Quote: The 2nd coin, not so big and heavy, but still nice sized. $10 is great. I am glad for you that you were able to purchase it with an MS-62 rating, this adds more to its market price. The prices of gold coins are really high. It is even more difficult to find a good coin without "details".

Here in Europe I see the opposite effect. High gold prices make many coins kept in bank vaults appear for sale. A year ago I took some american ones from that supply. This time I may add some to it. A waste but there is only so much a collector can keep.
Perhaps they do not make it to America? What dealers tell me is if they do not sell fast they go to melt. A person at the local foundry confirmed not worth picking over foreign coins. But I am thinking that Spink and others are buying from banks. That hoard they called fairmont? I guess the leftovers at old Credit Suisse. Or some other big bank.

Another gold coin added to the collection. This is my favorite of the gold. I think this coin is undergraded and its in an Old Green Holder, so I was happy to get it at Bullion plus a small premium. The coin. As gold isn't cheap, its taking a while to acquire new coins.

Nice purchase, hfjacinto! Definitely should have graded higher than it did.

Beautiful example, hfjacinto! Agree it may be conservatively graded, though I find the incuse design really difficult to grade myself...

I've heard that golden Indians are one of the most counterfeited coins and you should be very careful with them. Congratulations on your purchase.

Following along. I started a 20th century PCGS type set a few years ago. I also started a Dansco 7070 type set. The proof coins really make a difference in the Dansco album. I have two of the gold coins as graded as well and I may try and pick up a $20 gold piece soon. My LCS gives me some decent deals so maybe it won't be horribly priced.
I'm not sure which I'll concentrate on and I've only been collecting for four years so I'm not quite confident in my grading skills so maybe graded coins. I'm also not sure whether I really care if I have a registry set. I may include ANACS and IGC coins if they are nice enough.
Good luck with your sets.

Absolute beauty hfj! Adding the gold page to my 7070 is a very distant dream.
