I'm not sure if it's from grease in the die, but the upper curve of the S is completely gone with no evidence of it ever being a complete S...

@mean, first welcome to CCF.

Second, while you might have a specific question about a specific area on the coin, if you include overalls of both sides then 1) it helps us gain perspective and 2) sometimes we might see something that you hadn't seen before that we can bring to your attention.

Third, please use unique file names for your pics. When you reuse the same name, then the old pic is automatically overwritten with the new image. I'll try to clear up your recent threads so that it is less confusing to folks who are just looking at them now.

At the risk of being way redundant, photos of both sides provide a fuller degree of context--context which often tells a more complete story (and sometimes reveals new, interesting details).
