just grabbed this one for pretty cheap. Reverse is pretty and mounted on the front of the holder. See some clashing I will have to look at it better when she arrives to see if there is anything else there as far as what VAM it may be. just curious what you all think she grades. Nice reverse toning but the cheek bagmarks really hold this thing back.
I'm at 62+, It's possible PCGS gave it a 63 for the eye appeal, but I don't think it would be justified from a technical standpoint.
photos look a bit overexposed, is it a GC auction?

I say it just makes MS63, but the number of hits on the cheek are a bit distracting.

the 88(P) normally have average strikes. your obverse looks good for strike. the reverse strike is a little shy due to the flatness of the breast. obverse luster based on these photos is fairly strong with about 80% remaining. the reverse is difficult to assess without in hand due to the toning but looks quite intact. eye appeal is decent but the chatter on the cheek and next area will hold the coin back.
imo this coin is a high end MS63 as the rest of the coin offsets the chatter

I've already seen the grade and I agree with it and as for the VAM, it appears to be a very near date position so that limits the possibilities to just 3 choices. I'm leaning towards 43 at this point. Better images may change that...  |

MS-62 net grade sounds correct. I'm at MS-61 obverse, MS-63 reverse, MS-62 net.

The obverse is pretty decent in hand looks 62 do to numerous marks but nothing to bad
