I've been going through penny rolls Out of a $25 box. I've come across a few really cool coins. The one I am posting about right now is a 1980 D penny. It's hard to tell about the DD because of the either lamination or planchette? I'm unsure what this would be called or considered. I was trying to find some information on why it looks like this but haven't been able to so I wanted to ask the experts.

What type of error would it be considered for this penny to where it looks the way it does & can you confirm this is a DMM DDO DDR? Or can someone point me in the direction needed to research more on what this would be?

Thanks In Advance!

Not a doubled die. Some kind of damage,PMD. Maybe acid or heat,I am leaning towards acid. What is your photo taking set up?

Weight will tell the differences.
Normal weight, heat damaged.
Under weight, acid dipped.

The bubbled area is heat or more likely some sort of acid damage, PMD. Keep searching!
