This one is a single clash, many 3CN have signs of heavy clashing, some higher grade examples will have multiple clash strikes all slightly rotated they are wild looking to see. Here is a photo of a nice high grade one from PCGS showing the multiple clash markings very clearly: https://images.PCGS.com/CoinFacts/0...505_2200.jpg I count 5 separate clash strikes on this example. I can't really find any major errors in my beloved Two Cent series, I find it strange how they made so many Two Cent Pieces yet so few errors exist, yet in the 3CN series there are so many and reasonably priced as well. For those interested in this fascinating series there was a book put out some time ago that quickly went out of print and is prohibitively expensive, ($200-300+). "The Ultimate Guide to U.S. Three Cent Nickels 1865-1889 Allan Gifford" but now the Newman Numismatic Portal has made PDF versions available to anyone here: https://nnp.wustl.edu/library/book/555545The photos in the book didn't scan so well but the data is all there. westcoin I was tied to your words. Reread your comment a few times over in fact. I wonder what it was that not only delivered Mr.Allan Gifford to the 3CN, but also impressed him enough to write about them? 3CN, the title of the denomination alone stops your thoughts for a moment.
