Still, we love following this thread, its fun and at least you guys have some decent variety in your coins that make searching worthwhile!
The wavy is coming.
Since I am deep in "Fijimania" have either of you found a Fijian 20 cent coin in your travels yet?

PT - Yes, I found a Fijian 20c coin while noodling a bag of 20s about a month ago. 1 coin from ~10,000 is a pretty low hit rate but they're out there (unless I noodled the only one from the wild! )

Thought I would get this weeks sort done and posted early on. Things were looking good with 5x '66 coins in the first few handfuls. Even had Pukaki looking over proceedings. But then as the '66 coins piled up doubt started to gnaw at me. Have I got the rejects from Ryurazu's last haul of 9? . In the end I got 10 coins but no wavy. Still, nice to get good numbers and the state coins were in good nick too. Total 20c coins noodled = 11540 Total no. of 1966 coins = 169
Number of wavy coins = 0

Nice haul David. Are you keeping all the 1966's, so that you can't get them back again?

Hi Steve, I don't keep them but I do mark them before going back into the wild. Please don't report me for defacing our coinage!

What about those Kiwi coins, are they being kept - or also left to endless purgatory in Australia - LOL!

It's eternal purgatory for those illegal foreigners. The lucky ones pass through the fires of purification at RAM to be reborn as shiny new Australians.

Fijian coins pop up from time to time - much less common than the New Zealand stuff by a wide margin.

After a period of non-noodling I picked up a bag of 500 20c coins. A shiny 1981 specimen and some nice commemoratives. Not to mention a kiwi coin that's had a hard life! Total 20c coins noodled = 11040 Total no. of 1966 coins = 165 Number of wavy coins = 0 Running out of time to get my wavy in 2021!

Nice 81 and a centenary 20c is always a good find. Too many of those ugly Kate and Wills ones though. Whoever designed that needed to be slapped!
