Cannot help you without brighter pics that actually illuminate the coin's surface details. These pics suggest an abraded high-grade example worth little over face value.

Have to go with little info from the pictures...but welcome to CC!

Appears to be a mint state coin that has had the obverse abraded by something. The reverse is toned based on the picture. The rim looks like this coin may have been encased (area below bust looks odd) which is why the obverse is so abraded but the reverse looks fine. Sadly, using coins as jewelry ruins all the collector value.

The 1955-S issue is a common coin, even perfect these only sell for a few bucks. Once damaged, this coin became a bulk Wheat cent worth 5 cents at best.

PS - This makes what I call a good "seed coin". I've put hundreds of these right back into circulation to excite someone that notices as it goes around. Who knows, they even may gain interest and become a collector like you!
