It appears to me to match the VarietyVista reference material for the 1945 DDO-001, but the only die marker (I think that is the right word) was a die scratch above the 1 and has worn off. Does anybody have any other way to confirm this? See attached pics and SS of VV's listing for reference. Report this Post to the Staff

Yorkish Valued Member United States 255 Posts	Posted 01/20/2021 11:06 am It is thicker than normal (I have a large pile of 1945 cents for comparison) but there is some clear damage to the right bottom side of the tail, which appears to have taken some of the material with it. Earle42 Bedrock of the Community United States 10038 Posts	Posted 01/20/2021 11:44 am Just my Two Cents...if I found this, in this condition, I would think it was simply circulation wear and the devices, as is typical with a coin in this condition, had been mushed. Compare,, for example, the shapes of the voids inside the letters B and R of LIBERTY. On the DDO from VV, you see crisply shaped voids. The B and R on your coin have obviously been mushed over at some point and deformed. The letters L and T in LIBERTY on your coin obviously have taken a hit on your coin as well - making areas on them look wider.
