Thanks for posting. I wonder how Britain would have turned out if he had been successful. It might have been the last Roman stronghold after the collapse of the West and strong enough to endure the transformation.

I acquired these two coins:

Carausius 287 - 293 AE Antoninianus Ancient Coin
R. Pax Standing L. Holding Branch / Sceptre
Coinage-Of-Carausius

Allectus Follis, struck in London 293-6 AD. PAX reverse, RIC 28 variety with the transverse scepter.
