hi everyone hope you all are well this great nite! there looks like it could be doubling on the head, also theres a track like line going through his shoulder area and finally is the D doubled? or repunched maybe? anyone have any ideas please and thanku

it looks like die wear. The mintmark looks like it took a hit, but that's all I can see.

Die wear and hit mint mark work for me--given the photos provided. Would like to see a full photo of the reverse.

Well its to early to be a DDD. It would probably have been over polished on the fields and and the isolated polishing reduced the fields, leaving a raised area on the die. They had an eager beaver running the die polisher that year.

What made me re-think this is that the bottoms of the date mintmark on the OP's coins is showing the same thing towards the south as the marks above the head. (The date is not showing towards the closest rim direction, thus this stood out to me. Die wear would be on the side towards the closest rim)
