AU-50 - low Mint State? The rev looks better then the Obv. Beautiful coin! Love the arrows and rays variety! !

Also at VF35, not enough detail for XF. I like the toning!

I am at VF35 on the obverse and VF30 on the reverse, I would guess VF30.

If this was a quarter, I wouldn't go above VF-25 if even that, but everything seems to change with the halves and dollars.

Significant wear on the wings suggests it's not close to XF. I'd call it VF-30. Not a fan of the toning which looks like it might have developed after a cleaning. Might still pull a straight grade.

here's why I graded this one as XF40 net VF35. there is definitely signs of a weak strike on both sides. I always look at the highest devices to determine this as they take the least amount pressure to strike up. the shield edges are well defined as well as the stripes. full LIBERTY. her right arm is rounded and not flat. the drape around the ankle separated from the foot. the date and arrows are strong and the stars on the left side are decently struck while the ones on the right are weak. looking at the reverse the lettering is strong especially HALF DOL as well as the rays. there is some luster remaining. the shield is well defined. what looks like wear on the wings is mostly from the strike as they are set lower in the die than the date and lettering. the coin may have had an cleaning but should grade straight

I say XF40. Obverse toning is excellent, but a bit blotchy around the date. Reverse is less appealing.
