Ok, I know I've posted a couple of LD 82's LMC's that wasn't the SD I was looking for. Well, I found this 82 D LMC the 2 looked different so I thought I would share it an see what the Community thought, now it's not in the best shape, but if it's SD I will still be extremely happy.. Here's a couple of images#129310;#127997;#129310;#127997;!! Thank you!!

Focus on the 8 not the 2. If the top part of the 8 is smaller than the bottom,it is a SD. Lots of pics and info if you use the search box upper left of page.

Yes, a large date. I usually verify by the distance of the 2 from the rim--closer to the rim=large date.

If you haven't done so, consider building set of high quality '82s clearly showing the different characteristics to be found, then use them for comparison as you come across more '82s.

To be fair, it is also fairly easy to tell the 2's apart based on their shape. Coop has a great side by side comparison photo, I'll see if I can find it.

Here's a side-by-side of the 1982 small and large date. It shows a few of the ways to tell them apart.

Yep, I like going by the distance from the rim, that way even with damage on the 2 it is obvious.
