Something on this coin. What do you think, clean it ?

I have never cleaned a coin before.
Any grade guesses?

F-12. Toothpaste sometimes leaves residue like that, but someone tried to clean it previously, which left the gunk behind.

The pictures are not very clear and sharp, but from what I see I would evaluate this token +/- «F-15». I also believe it is the variety Courteau #084 (PC-5B2 - Heaton Mint). Here is an excerpt from my book for this variety (Maybe you will be able to confirm by yourself):

that would be a good one to experiment with, F15 and not a whole lot of value in it's current state (cleaning wont help with that)

Soak it in Extra Virgin Olive Oil for a couple of weeks. And rinse in hot water.
