I layed this dime on the floor with edge notches down to make it show up better in photo. What is this called as of I do not know if first stamped then edges put on or the other way around? These side notches seem to go about third way around.

Note the are on the inside of the rim. This is called a collar clash. It is damage to the outside edge of the die from hitting the collar when it was not exactly centered. So this happens on all coins after the die event happens.

These would seem to be more common, as when the die experiences this, note on the image above, the die was retired. So if they notice these, they probably are retired soon there after. This is a die event that affects the area of the die that can not be polished off. They only die polish the face of the die. If they altered this outside area of the die and they tried to use it again, then where the polishing was done, it would be too small for the collar. Thus allowing the rim to be altered. So thinking about this makes me think they die would be pulled/retired early. Thus the two images on the bottom of the image shows retirement for a die.

So the collar clashes are probably about the same number as Cuds. (Another die lie ending experience) Prices won't be the same though as a Cud is more in demand.

It's collar clash and a really nice one at that!

I have a double struck 1995-P Jefferson with maybe the most striking example of a counter clash because of the movement of the coin under the pressure of the second strike.
