Is this a vette coin? Surfaces look altered. I'm saying AU Details whizzed. Curious what it looks like in hand

Quote: Is this a vette coin? I'm thinking not. The images are not out of focus at the top. I'm at MS63 as well.

vette is actually the seller. is he disreputable? I have bought from him many times before and he promptly refunded when I requested a return.

It is a Vette coin. Below is a link to auction. I am wondering what Ty2020b is seeing to think the coin is whizzed. 233883625918

I quit buying from Vette a couple years ago as I was getting a lot of garbage coins and a lot of issues were not showing up in the images. Looking at the sellers listing his photo quality has improved and the back ground is now a darker red.

I could most certainly be wrong (probably am). My initial thought was MS-63 like the majority. The longer I looked at it, the luster just seems off. The fields have an unnatural look about them, the way it reflects light, similar to well done whizzed examples I've seen. And the first seller thet popped into mind was vette. I've seen many of his coins that were definitely whizzed look similar to this one.
Maybe I stayed up too late and stared too long!!
Side note: as for my AU Details, if a coin has been whizzed I don't believe in calling it UNC, even if it is a Details coin.

This is the area that has me saying whizzed. Can't make out any obvious signs that the devices have been altered, but the obverse fields are very suspect, IMO. The area I circled looks abraded. The opposing fields between the neck and feather also look altered. Even considering the Die Deterioration, they do not look correct.

Came in, loved the Buffalo nickel Then got confused...whizzed? The luster seems a bit off, but I attributed it to camera angle and me not seeing enough buffs. Also, love to pop in and see a solid set of grades. Thanks for the commentary upon condition!

Nice looking coin! EDS/EMDS obverse, MDS reverse, solid strike for a Denver. I'll reserve grade until I see your pics. There may be some discoloration on the cheek and hair behind the cheek and on the buffalo's shoulder, ear, and horn. Even if this is a 58, you're in at Greysheet. If it is UNC, you scored big.
The broken post on the mm is interesting. I haven't seen that on a relatively early and minimally die clashed 1916-D strike before.

Doesn't look whizzed to me, I'm not seeing the tick marks all around the edges or next to devices or the phony overly bright chartwheel luster originating in the center going out to the rims. If the photo is accurate, it has a nice surface luster and appears to be MS-63.
