I'm pretty sure this is an 1838 and NOT an 1839 Check N-11 (Old N-13).

Yep, 1838 N-11/13 late die stage (Noyes Stage C) The broken upright of the N in CENT confirms the rev, used on 11/13, 15. and 16.

People have made some miracle calls on coins around here. Glad you found the same :)

Definite Cud, and looks like a pretty large one at that. At least it's still otherwise recognizable!
