1972 D Kennedy Half - Help Identifying Markings

Mrvannest New Member United States 1 Posts	Posted 02/12/2021 5:38 pm I have several 1972 Kennedy half and two of them are mint Mark D. I got these at different times and places but that both have similar markings on his neck. I have not found anything about this, but cold this be coincidence and both have been defaced? coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 02/12/2021 5:50 pm The mintmarks were hand punched into the dies until 1990. After that they are part of the design. So the locations are not going to be in the same exact spot on the 1989 back coins. Report this Post to the Staff

And the markings on the neck are Not from the mint. Please post pics of separate coins. Report this Post to the Staff
