I am fairly new to coin hunting. Can anyone explain to me what is going on with this coin.

@red, without more info, it is a little hard for us to help you. I see some weakness of the reverse strike, but not much else. Please describe for us what you are seeing with the coin in hand. Thx.

From your pictures it kinda looks like worn die issue - obverse and reverse

Might I suggest that you retake your photographs, having the camera directly over the coin's surface rather than from an angle. As is, I have to agree with Spence, I don't see anything out of the ordinary. Please describe what you see going on.

Well it is a 1982 large date cent. weather it is copper or zinc - it needs to be weighed. a copper cent is at 3.11 grams and a zinc at 2.5 grams.

If you have no scale have a look at this page to find out if it is copper or not.

IMO 2.5 ger with zinc dust between the copper plating

Well looking at the Upper left area on the obverse, that is called Ridge Ring. It is a form of Die Deterioration that forms on the single squeeze dies as they age.
