I think we need to give Helmut a break . In the original post , he mistakenly added an Obverse photo of a 1950 no design NGC Graded Fifty Cents, below the 1948 which he was asking about . Nothing nefarious , I am sure . MY original grading comment alluded to the obverse of the NGC picture below those of the B/W pix of the 1948 he posted . The 1948 , I would call AU 55 .
