MS-63, but could be a bit higher or lower.
That depends on what happens to be hiding under the light patina.
Need to examine under the same conditions that TPGraders have, to give a more accurate grading.

The portrait side surfaces are too washed out to see details clearly.

That is the Close Date Variety if you are collecting varieties
I am also going to say AU55 but for a different reason.
In 1958, new dies were made showing more detail in the Kings hair.
I see what looks to be slight wear in the hair above the ear. Still a nice coin though

Thank you all for your input,

The second photo shows the coin in a NGC holder. Did you mix up your photos when posting this?

SPP, the 1950 is graded NGC MS 64 (other forum)
this coin 1948, is not graded at this time.
am not sure what you see on your monitor. with todays technology, everything is possible,
when I uploaded the images I did have an issue, as it UL the wrong image. But I was able to fix it by starting from fresh.
there should be 3 images visible of the raw 1948: obv + rev + pair and NO TPG holder.
can you send me a URL to what you see please?

A screen capture is below, my comments:

1. We cannot control what you upload. If you upload a file with the same name as an older file, it overwrites the previous image in ALL your posts. So, the onus is on you to own and properly take care of your metadata.

2. If you haven't noticed, I edit all the posts where folks use my first name. I don't like it. Use my handle here or I will start using your full name....
