This came up on ebay early this week. There was quite a few bidders for this one but I still won it for what I consider to be a low $31. Been after this variety for a while but never found an example I liked very much until this one. IMO one of the nicest varieties to find in the LWC series and probably the most dramatic Lincoln Cent RPM out there in terms of length from the primary mint mark. Not quite a stage A like I hoped for but it's not super LDS and the D is still complete so I'm a happy camper. Hope my photos can do it some justice. Thanks for taking a look! -CH27 http://varietyvista.com/02a%20LC%20...6DRPM008.htm Collector of U.S. Coins, Varieties, and Colonial Coinage

Certainly was! 1956 had some of the best RPMs in the series. Not sure who was working the mint marks at that time but they needed some glasses!

Or stop die punching early on Monday mornings. Why is the room spinning?

Haha coop! Certainly needed to get someone else on that job before a mint mark ended up on Lincoln's head!

Thanks Willburton! Been through a lot of wheats for this one and never found one. Felt this was a good price for a MS64 example considering it's cheaper to buy this one than find one and slab one.

Never saw one with the weak Mint Mark that visible before. Super nice for a 64. Even the main Mint Mark is really tucked up tight to the numbers. Which one is more off from being normal?

Thanks Rothery! All kinds of mint mark issues in 1956.
