Best price I am seeing on ebay right now is $239 for $10 face in silver Roosevelt dimes (Coin Exchange) APMEX is quoting $2702.70 for $100 face in silver Roosevelt dimes. Everything silver seems to be going for a pretty big premium over melt value. Edited by KenKat

Yeah, someone I know was talking about American Eagles; melt on those is a little under $28 but they are retailing for close to $37 or more. That is a BIG spread.

If you work hard you can find 90% on ebay for around 20-22x face, sometimes less if you're incredibly lucky. Otherwise there's alternative places to buy 90% that will be cheaper for you. Some sites online have buying and selling pages, like on here. You may also want to check out your LCS if you have one and see what they quote for 90%. It's probably 21-22x |

Yes I am sorry it is for 90% silver dimes circulated.
is uncirculated worth more?
I made a deal for 2,250 for each bag of circulated.

If silver were lower you might see a premium for UNC 90%, but I personally dont sell my 90% at a premium if its unc, I just mix it in with my circulated stuff, but thats just me.
Assuming it's a bag if $100 face, $2250 isn't an awful price, especially if you want to buy in bulk instead of peacemeal, but it would be possible to find better deals if you looked hard enough, albiet probably not all dimes.

to CCF! In case you are unfamiliar with a couple of good websites: I like to visit websites for the latest silver value in any coin. For 90% silver Roosevelt dimes the price quoted there right now is $2 each. Of course a lot more goes into the elusive thing called value, but that might be a tool for seeing how far you want to stray from melt. Online bulk dealers can give a reference point, too. There are also a number of auction sites that will give an indication of the going prices and recent sales prices. I like to use these, if for no other reason, the seller or buyer may have done their homework and knows these rates that I need to justify or debunk. For what it's worth.... Stay well, Diy89Nurm7 |
