Hello everyone I'm Looking for info and options on a 2009p Puerto Rico quarter I got out of a roll of quarters while putting together a state run w/Territories, any how I have a Puerto Rico that has a rim chop on the right and left side of the coin. I've tried looking for any errors and get that there are none recorded. Should I send it off to NGC to be graded? I have to figure out the getting a picture for you, I'm on a new laptop I'm still getting use to. I have it in a 2x2 coin holder, kinda worried about rust from the staples over time. Any thoughts would be welcome.

It appears as damaged. Are the reeds moved? If so, then it is damaged. Also looks like the rim is pushed as well. So if it is out of alignment, then it is a damaged coin is just a face value coin. (Glare is hiding exactly what you are seeing)

@wg, first, welcome to CCF. Second, with regard to: Quote: I have it in a 2x2 coin holder, kinda worried about rust from the staples over time If you store your boxes or binders of 2x2s in big ziplock bags with a couple pouches of desiccant, you should be fine.

Quote: I'm going to hold it. just because it came out of a mint sealed roll. This is exactly why you should NOT hold it (if it just came out of a roll). Lay the coin flat on a solid surface and photograph both sides of the coin, then closeups of the damaged area in question. We look forward to seeing your coin! to the CCF!

When he said hold it,I think he means hold on to it as to keep it. John1

Seem to be very small to be considered clip. In my opinion do not sped money for grading, not worth and will be not accurate. I send 58 through big auction house and come 66, I send my self 66 and come back 64; do you have the logic? If you grade you spend 50$ for a max 5$ sell in a lucky day.
It is from a new roll so is from mint production line. Keep safe for your own references and future.
hope will help to understand the path.
