Has anyone ever heard of the 1776-1976 bicentennial Eisenhower silver dollar type 2? I read online that there is no record of any type 2 Ike 76's being produced at the Philadelphia Mint during that time. At first glance, it looks like the 3 we have were all type 1 which is cool... but upon closer examination, it looks like two of the ones we thought were type 1, are actually type 2!!! Now, we're not experts but we see what we see! Anyone know how to go about finding out what's what besides sending it thru the mail? It seems pretty sketchy to do something like that and if they are 2 out of the 3 in the world, we don't wanna take that chance!! We're located in Fargo ND.. If that helps any!! Please please please help us figure this out!! Pictures are coming soon!
Thanks!!!

Type 1: A 1 is a straight line and so is the Rs leg. Type 2: A two has a curl and so does the R's leg

After looking at the chart above from Earle,
I think I will go looking for the type 1, not that is rare, just to add that into my type collection.

Are you sure it's silver? If you can see the copper core in the edge, that's not out of the ordinary. If it does look like silver, we'll need the weight for further evaluation.

Could be plated. We'd really like/need to see it.
