Do you have a New Zealand coin, I could send you a nice shiny Halfcrown from 1962!

No, I do not, that would be cool to have one..

Ok, so at this point, I'm getting some offers for some of the coins I would like to collect. MUCH appreciated!. I do not expect to get these for free, so, let me know what you would like for the coin you send me and I'll figure a way to pay you ..

Thanks so much for your help and enthusiasm!

Hi John and thanks for sharing. I do also collect mint sets dated 1979 for a reason :)

Are you looking for specific denomination? Like coins with "1" or something special?

Do you have something from Finland? Got like 25 kg of coins to look through for 1962.

I could also dive into a bucket of Soviet coins to find something interesting.
Guess that something like 15 kopecks - a weirdest denomination from Russian coinage could be a nice add-on.

P.S. If you would be born in 1963 - it would significantly increase a number of countries/coins I could share :)

No, I'm not picky on demonization/size/shape/ or anything, my only requirement is that they are dated '1962'

(of course if they are gold and silver.. I'll take any date)

We are just jealous because we have less of a chance of representing our birth year with hammered coinage.

Cool project... should be a good challenge with relatively low cost, and a neat result. I like.

And drat you.... I don't have time right now for following through on those good ideas like that!

Hammered, ham, Hammer! Hammered coinage? I feel privileged to be THAT 'old'. (I think.)
You know, My Mom is so old that When God said "LET THERE BE LIGHT!" She flipped the switch!

Now, will you please fetch me that walker, Sonny?

As for the coins, I'm thinking of placing them all in a large shallow frame to hang on the wall when I get as many as I can, which may take a long time. Kind of like a mosaic of coins

@dear, you may already know, but Frank Robinson just listed four world coins dated to 1962. These are on his World Coin List #137, which went live today. He is a bit of a character (and who among us isn't), but a solid numismatist that several of us on CCF have bought from previously.

So it took a while but I found something :)
4 pretty worn Soviets and nice BU 10 Markka from Finland in full luster.

Not sure how it works but maybe you could PM me your address so I could ship the coins.
